Our Hot Water Work
Whatever the fault or the fitting, it falls into one of four visits:
- Hot water repairs for a unit with one misbehaving part
- No hot water when the taps have gone cold right now
- Hot water replacement once a tank has nothing left in it
- Hot water installation for a renovation, a new build or a fresh setup
Within those visits we cover the lot:
- Gas hot water in storage tanks and flow units, on mains gas or LPG
- Electric hot water including tanks that heat through the night
- Instant hot water where continuous flow suits a smaller household
- Heat pump hot water drawing warmth out of the hillside air
- Solar hot water with roof collectors and a booster for grey stretches
How a Hot Water Job Runs
Describe the problem
Ring through with what the unit is up to, roughly where it sits and how long you have had it, so we know which parts to bring.
Approve a figure
A licensed plumber tests the system, then prices the whole job as a fixed quote, and nothing starts until you say yes to it.
Confirm it all works
Hot water flows at the taps, every valve gets a last check, and payment happens by card only after the test passes.
The Suburbs We Cover
The regular run covers these five neighbours:
Ferny Hills Hot Water Services has built a page for each one, because the housing changes what a tank or a heat pump needs from street to street. Here, brick-veneer and weatherboard houses from the 1960s subdivision waves onward fill the slopes, and the swap-in tanks bolted into carport corners over the decades are reaching the end of their working lives.

Frequently Asked Questions
Call (07) 3523 1736Who comes out when I book in Ferny Hills?
A member of our team comes out to every booking, and gas jobs such as a pilot assembly or a new gas connection are covered by the gasfitting side of the licence.
Which hot water systems do you work on in Ferny Hills?
Electric storage, gas storage, instant gas and instant electric units, heat pumps and solar systems are handled in repairs, replacements and new installs, and the links above take you to a page on each.
Does Energex affect anything about a hot water job?
Yes, because many electric tanks here heat on an Energex off-peak supply, so we confirm the tariff before matching a replacement, and a new circuit would be an electrician's call.
Does Unitywater play a part in hot water work?
Unitywater handles the cold water up to your boundary, while the tank and the valves feeding it remain ours to test, so the two roles at your place stay separate.
Do you cover Bunya, Keperra and the suburbs around here?
Yes, Bunya, Keperra, Arana Hills, Ferny Grove and Upper Kedron all sit close by, and what the housing in each of them means for tanks and flow units shapes the work we do there.
